I don't think Eloise knew. Does that have something to do with her leavint the island?

She did age Kimsk. Different actresses played her in '54 and '77.

It's both. He went to see her because she knows where the H-bomb is. He also says she's the only one that can get them back to the right time. She knows where Jughead is, but she may also have some other crucial information they need.

True I forgot they had already met. Another interesting thing is that now Daniel appears to not age to anyone know didn't know he time traveled. I wonder if this is why Richard doesn't age.

Watching this ep again today it was plain for anyone to see, at least on a second viewing, that Eloise was pained in the beginning at the piano and at the end after she'd sent Daniel back, to have to set Daniel on the path that was meant to be his. Some may hate on her for leading her son to his death all throughout his life. But if he really had this destiny, if any of our son's had such a difficult destiny, could we be strong enough to send them down their path, or would we coddle them and lead them away from it to save them. Tough call in my book.

Reminded me of DoctorWho, when Martha had to protect The Doctor in 1913, while he was unaware of who he really was. When she gave him that truth, he blamed her for it - because it ended up killing him in a way. But without his 'death' to become the Doctor again, others would have died and history would change. That couldn't happen.

I think too, that she knew this sacrifice was always coming, and had to be given, because of whatever consequences it brought... for the island, for her and those still remaining in 1977 to survive, Daniels sacrifice as Lockes, was ultimately needed.

I don't think she knew, but it seemed she recognized him when she said "Who.are.you." and then when he said, "I'm your son." I don't even she thought he was serious, but maybe Richard did because of Jughead.

Still... it was a shocking and heartbreaking discovery.

That's been a common speculation, but Faraday was only around for a few hours at a time and gone for the rest. Richard on the other hand has been with the Others for years. Juliet talked of him as very old.
If a person is jumping around full bodied through time (not Quantum Leaping like Desmond) they maintain a linear internal time clock despite external time shifting around them. So, if Faraday skipped around in time for 4 days, but travelled to 8 time locations (say five years apart for 40 yrs), spending half a day in each location, it would appear as tho he wasn't aging, because he only aged 4 days. This of course only means he spent 12 hrs in each time location and then disappeared again. Every time he appeared, he would have knowledge from the previous stops, but not what transpired in the five years between. Now, if he could control when and where he travelled to, he would still be subject to his internal time clock. If he spent 10 years jumping through centuries, he would still age 10 years. Depending on when the outside world saw him, his makeup would consistantly shift to older and younger Richard. As it stands, he doesn't age AT ALL. Not even a little. The only time we ever see him dressed or looking different is when young Ben runs into him in the woods, and then I think it was Nemesis and not Richard setting up young Ben to be his patsy.

I believe that she didn't know he was her son. I can't believe she would encourage Daniel to go the island knowing full well she killed him but I guess she believes it was his 'destiny'

I can't help hoping that maybe Daniel would of come back because if you guys remember in the constant he had written in his journal 'if anything goes wrong Desmond will be my constant' but I suppose it doesn't matter because he is alive in s6 AU.
